Right now, as you’re reading this, I’m 35,000 feet about the North Atlantic Ocean. Flying high, high above the clouds in a Virgin Atlantic flight from Los Angeles to London. Surprise! Not really, actually. Many of you would be used to my antics by now.
The work that was keeping me in the States finished, my visa has two weeks left on it, and it was time to move on. And this time the decision was incredibly easy. I missed the friendships that I have in London, I could feel this ancient city full of architecture, history and mystery calling my name for months now, and it would be irresponsible of me not to heed the call.
Also, my body wanted more familiarity, more stillness, and a winter to soothe and nurture myself through. I remember mentioning that when I first moved to LA which you can read about here, but I have discovered that LA isn’t so much a place for grounding. Perhaps you could have told me that, but I had to find out for myself.
I am excited. I’m excited about moving back to my favourite city to live in, in the entire world, and I’m excited to grow some roots. The wonderful thing about London is its accessibility to the rest of Europe. Weekends to Eastern ancient cities and Italian beaches are only hours away, and honestly, my European blood wants a taste of home.
So, I have something very special in store for you, darling London:
Watch this space. More details will be coming soon!
