Recently, a friend of mine sent me an email describing how she was feeling. Although I have many answers of my own I decided to forward the questions she had to someone I greatly admire in the world of spiritual growth and shamanism, Abdi Assadi.

Here is what she wrote:

I am living a most wonderful life and have experienced so much, however recently I seems to get this horrible sense of dissatisfaction. I feel like there is so much more I want to do, achieve, experience, live, create however am missing out on the action. I can’t seem to propel or move myself forward….. I meditate, I look after my health isotretinoinrx.com and body, and live a good life, however it just doesn’t seem enough. Meditate more? Live more slowly? Breathe? I want more. I know how beautiful life is but I just am not FEELING it. I feel like I’m missing out.

What are your thoughts?

And Abdi answered with the following wise words:

There seems to be a lot of dissatisfaction going on right now in people’s minds and hearts. It is as if what used to feed us or at least numb us is not doing so now. As annoying, painful or down right scary as this can be; welcome it as an invitation to a deeper connection with your life.

It is our egos that desire and want more. Our souls crave depth, connection and realness. Many times what feels wonderful to the ego is actually poison to the soul and vice versa. You put your finger on it when you say you are not FEELING it. It is not necessarily about doing rather about BEING. That is a life long process. One can meditate and use the meditation as another “doing practice”. Same with breathing and slowing down. All these practices can be useful as long as we drop down into them. Many of us end up using them as another list to have checked before the days end. One can fill one’s day with all sorts of activities in this manner and the result will be further emptiness and alienation.

Sit with your self with out manipulation and allow your Self to fill you. Meditate, slow down and breathe in this manner and see what appears. The only permanent solution to scratch our itch is finding out who we truly are. Then we can experience all as a free being with out feeling like we are missing out.

If you remember that IT is all you, what can you possibly be missing out on?
