Finding Love. (Part 3.) How to break a Soul Contract.

In my first and second Finding Love videos, I spoke about how, in order to invite the love that I wanted into my life, I had to let go of someone from my past, with whom I had unconsciously made a strong soul contract, that, energetically, worked much like a marriage. This meant that I couldn’t pursue any new love interests, until I energetically divorced this person.

In today’s video I share my story of how I broke a soul contract that was holding me back from finding love, suddenly started attracting so many sexy men wherever I went, and then met and fell in love with my current partner, all within two months!

Here are 6 steps to breaking a soul contract, as I encountered and followed from Spirit Science:

1. Sit somewhere quiet and comfortable. Close your eyes and start by taking 10 deep slow deliberate breaths.

2. Think of the person with whom you want to cut ties with.

3. Scan your body. Try to visualize a cord coming from the heart or any other region in the body your mind is pulled to being connected to this person. Selenite wands help with body scanning and clearing.

4. Keep breathing and imagine how it feels to cut this cord between the two of you. If you have a similar experience to me I could feel the density and size of the cords and why they were place there. Imagine cutting the cords.

5. Ask your higher self and subconscious mind to release all contracts and/or subconscious obligations with this person. This includes all energetic invasions in your environment (car, house, etc), ask for the release and complete return of your original energetic balance within your body.

6. Lastly, picture sending this person love and gratitude for hard learned lessons and thank the universe for the return of balance to your body and your physical environment. Visualize closing this energetic portal.

I’d love to know about your own experiences with soul mates, soul contracts and ending those commitments with love and letting go! Share them with me in the comments below.

  1. Its incredible to see how much you’ve grown in these 2 years Vienda and I’m so happy you’re at the place you’re at right now. Thanks for inspiring me with this, for me too it feels like I’ve done all the work required (not necessarily to meet someone, but mainly to be continuously open and playful and flowy) but some old energy is holding me back that I’ve not been able to clear away with all the personal work I’ve done so far.
    Lots of love!

  2. This is such a potent exercise. I have done it with 2 past people and the experience was incredible and so unique with each one. My most recent lover that I cut cords with was especially amazing.

We both disconnected the cord between us after telling each other that we loved and cared for each other and thanked each other for the lessons and experiences too. We then buried the cord together in the ground which promptly grew into a small bush covered in hearts. We each picked a heart from the tree and placed it into each others heart space to fill that back up. It was beautiful and heartbreaking equally to say goodbye.

Interesting that you said you had to stop with it originally. The ONE that broke my heart was this cord cutting experience all over. I just couldn’t do it. Intellectually and spiritually yes, but heart and body- no. I had to stop but haven’t tried again. This is a reminder to have another go.

I have written a blog about it and will be including it on my website which is nearly finished being built.

    xx

  3. So beautifully relayed Vienda, I was in the position about 30 years ago before marrying my dream man. x

  4. That’s so special Aimee. It’s amazing what a difference it makes, when we let go of the past, and energetic soul contracts that keep us from moving forward and accepting the love that is meant for us in life! Thank you for sharing. x

  5. I love your sentiments Lauren, what a beautiful idea, to cleanse yourself and be totally open with no expectations as you step into a new level of love and commitment with your partner. Absolutely gorgeous! x

  6. Hi Vienda this is fantastic! I’ve been trying to let go of someone for probably about a month or so and on the full moon eclipse on Saturday night I finally did it. I ran into them on the morning of the full moon and we spoke for the first time…it was like the air was clear. So on the night of the full moon I lit a candle and journalled about what had happened, including all the lessons I had learnt. I sent them forgiveness and gratitude for hard lessons learnt and burnt what I had written. I then meditated and repeated a fantastic letting go affirmation. It was amazing, the next morning I felt like I had really LET GO and the universe has quickly brought new things into my life since then :) xx

  7. Ohhh… I love this so, so much. I am going to explore this concept as I prepare to get married to the love of my life. I intend to use this practise to cleanse and be open. Although I’ve been with my fiancé for a really long time and he’s one of two boyfriends I’ve ever had, I so think there is something special about doing this contract for yourself. There are so many things we pick up and carry with us in relation to love – expectations and plans! What I want for my Wedding day and especially my marriage is that of no expectations. I want to experience love as a force that grow and changes as we move through life. I want to connect with my fiancé on a soul level and I want to know that when I stand before him and say my vows that I am pure in heart, soul and spirit. Thank you for this gift Vienda.
